Sometimes you may need to return a product you have purchased from the Newdec online store. To help we have set out below the Newdec Returns Policy highlighting key points.

Australian Consumer Law

Our Returns Policy includes, and does not seek to exclude or limit, the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (if you are a consumer) and other relevant laws.

If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not limited by a defined time. However, the Australian Consumer Law does recognise that the relevant time period for which a remedy may be available can vary from product to product, depending on factors such as the nature of the product and the price. Newdec adopts the same approach. As you can appreciate, the type of return/refund we can offer you may also vary depending on how long it takes you to bring the fault to our attention and/or return the product/s to us.

Returns Procedure 

Email us at mel@newdec.com.au and type ‘Item Return’ along with any order number or receipt number that you have in the subject line. If Newdec can determine that a customer’s purchased goods are damaged or faulty and was through no fault of their own or through wear and tear, they will be entitled to choose one of the following options for a refund:
– A money back refund

Before we can issue a refund, the customer needs to return the faulty or damaged item back to Newdec Pty Ltd with the Purchase details. Newdec will then inspect the item and contact the customer to discuss the options available. 

Returns Postage

Newdec will cover the postage cost for damaged or faulty items.

Where the customer has made an error or changed their mind. The customer will need to pay for postage return of the initial item AND for the postage of the exchanged item as well.
